Xandra hums along to the song Never Ever Getting Rid of Me" from Waitress as she places fake blood into a clear measuring cup. She yelps in surprise as she notices someone in the corner of her eye, splattering the fake blood onto floor. It was the same man from the hallway a month ago.

“Did I get any fake blood on you? I’m sorry if I did.”

The man looks down. “No, it seems like you didn’t.” he says.

Xandra sighs with relief. She then notices something on the black of his labcoat. It was the same as the other researchers–the insignia in the middle with “SCP” on the bottom, but his had “Site Director” on the top. “You just scared me… sir.”

  “Sir…?”

  “You’re the… Site… Director…, right?”

The man laughs. “You don’t need to call me "sir" and sorry for scaring you.”

“Oh, er, what should I call you then?”

“Delgado or Del for short. And you?”

“I’m Xandra. What brings you here…, Del?”

“I just thought you would want me to help you.”

“Aw, that’s sweet of you. But I’m good, thanks for asking.”

Delgado chuckles and blushes with flattery. He then notices that her labcoat is too big for her; seeing her fingers only peeking out through the sleeves. “Don’t you need a smaller coat?” he asked.

  “No, I’m fine. I don’t mind it.”

. . .

Xandra opened the door to her condo that she shared with Nathan. She walked into the room. She noticed that Nathan was home. “You’re home early.” he says.

  “So are you.” replies Xandra.

“You’re not the only one with a new job.”

“And what job is that exactly?”

  “Roo—I mean, building inspector. Why?”

  “Uh… no reason.”

“So, how was your day at the veterinary clinic?”

  “Good. Um, your's?”

  “Same. Same.”

  “Okay.”

  “Okay…”
